Okay. So what I gathered from the 1st to the 2nd layout was that. 2 has no umbrella. This made the light less even across the face. She also used a second light/strobe( but it had no light box around it. It makes it a lot harsher but it is facing away from the model anyways AND instead it faces the walls which bounces the light around, again making the light uneven. Model slightly more serious that the 1st shoot. 3rd. The strobe is close to the back wall/ pointing to it. And octobox is facing the model. This seriousness is possible bc/ the Otto box can reflect the the light from the background, from the strobe. While the tall blocks catch light bc/ the are both black.
Where have you been? Why'd you stop posting? Love your work
I don't shoot too many creatives as of lately as they are expensive and time consuming to put together, so I can't upload often :)
i really used to like photography a lot. but since i've been a DP for the last couple of years. my love for photography a little bit fades. and looking at your set up using all the scrims really reminds me of the set while im shooting. and really inspires me to use all the lighting technique im using while im being.a DP to photography! thank you so much karolina, you really inspiring! may peace always be upon you.
Where did you get the orange backdrop from?
THIS is fire - Thanks for sharing your lighting setup
Love your work Karolina! Light, composition and the male model... just so beautifully done! Subscribed!
Thank you!
Can you clarify? The first set up had the umbrella in the center. Was there a strobe facing inwards? I understand the ither set up.
Correct, the strobe was facing inwards (Bouncing into the umbrella)
@@KarolinaPran thank you just wasn't sure if it was continuous. I love this look!
You're really great thank you
love your work, thanks for sharing 🇧🇷
What a great and insightful video. Need more!
I wanna try a scrim so bad
I hope you do!
Love your channel and style, beautiful work. Thanks for sharing.
SO HAPPY YOUR BACK. NEVER GO AWAY <3 LOVE FROM NYC
So happy to see you around again!!!
glad you back!!!! missed your content! - hope you have been well cant wait to see more product lighting content agin<3
Thanks for watching! I'll be here as much as I can :)
How is the mist Filter effecting the Image and why did you choose one? I ask because there a no direct light sources to blur and i would Not have bet, you used a mist Filter, after seeing the Image. Welcome back
Different photogs use it for different reasons. I personally use it to take away some of that digital sharpness our cameras nowadays have as well as soften skin blemishes/ texture slightly. But because it also takes away some of the contrast, I usually put some back in Capture One :)
This is a welcome surprise 🙂
So wonderful that you are back! You have changed my whole style with your work and your lighting guide. A quick question, if there is no scrim at the studio, I could just turn the umbrella toward the ceiling. However, do I have to pay notice at something due to the lack of the scrim? Thank you 🙏
Thank you so much :) The light will be more contrasty without that extra diffusion, so if you see your shadows becoming too dark, you can introduce white v-flats on whichever side or also ask for your subject to keep their chip up as the light is top-down and can create pretty hard shadows on the face
You are my favorite UA-cam channel. Your videos are always so interesting, useful and extremely aesthetically pleasing. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and such valuable knowledge!🤍🌟
That is so kind, thank you so much for watching :)
Welcome back I've missed you. ❤
Glad to see you post again ❤
I need to give the pro mist a spin
WELCOME BACK
thank youuu 😊
What was the purpose of the pro most filter?
Different photogs use it for different reasons. I personally use it to take away some of that digital sharpness our cameras nowadays have as well as soften skin blemishes/ texture slightly. But because it also takes away some of the contrast, I usually put some back in Capture One
Absolutely beautiful as always!
Thank you, so kind!
Will the result be different if I direct the flash towards the ceiling for reflection? Without a diffuser and without a frost frame?
What do you mean by ''for reflection''?
Literally one of my favorites to watch I’ve learned so much from you🥹🥹🥹
It warms my heart to hear that, thank you☺
Glad to see you back! keep killing it we love the content!
Thanks so much for the support :)
Good to see you back! Love your work and hope to see you more on here

So sweet, thank you so much for the support :)
Where's these backdrops from?
I rented it from the amazing Caitlin here in Toronto: instagram.com/caitdo/
Thank you so much for this video and your channel! ❤
Hello - is there a reason you use broncolor over everything else or is it just a preference thing?
Mainly, I wanted to buy something that will last me for a long time, but any brand will do a good job if you know how to use your gear :) I wouldn't stress over the brand, just use whatever is most affordable to you in the moment and gets you out there practicing
@@KarolinaPran great advice 🙌🏿 thank you
nice f gear...
Where do you get that first backdrop from
It was in the studio I shot at!
Hi Karolina, thanks for mentioning the broncolor options, you mentioned 3, PL70, PL65 and PL40's . Which would would you recommend to buy first ? I dont own any of them and I want to buy the right one for this look. Thank you in advance!
I personally most used P70s just cause had access to them, so don't over think it too much, get whatever is most affordable and start testing! Any of them will work
@@KarolinaPran Thank you for your reply! Ok I will keep it in mind. :)
You have awesome videos. Thanks so much!
Beautiful pictures, some of the nicer work I’ve seen on the tube. Also good to see someone using a viewfinder as opposed to a flippity floppity lcd screen, so much more control and stability 🙏🏼
Subscribed and liked! This was amazing
What power are you using on your strobes? I saw 7 and 7.4 for the second setup on the strobes behind the v flats but was wondering mostly about the main strobes :) thank you!
Wow. Your work is awesome.
OMG finally!!! The video I need! I want to control lights by using artificial lighting in the studio… but at the same time I want them to look more natural. Thank you for this video!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Greetings from Lithuania! And ofc inspirational works!
Is this Preto?!! I was just there. lol
yeah lol
@@KarolinaPran yea it's a perfect place. Lighting it always amazing there
Jesus thank GOD for this channel. Finally a youtuber that isn't just some dude shooting pretty girls every single frame. This was great!!!! Thanks!!!
I agree!!! ❤ there are a lot of UA-camrs who has a bad natural lighting shots, normal people might appreciate it because they use pretty girls as subject, but real pro photographers will always notice.
That's funny. It's true. It's refreshing to see this for a change
These photos are extremely good. Clean and crisp. I don't think I have ever seen anything like it. I was just planning to get a 5DSR a few weeks ago. Would you recommend the 24-70 over the 50? Is there much difference?
Thank you so much, so kind! I think 24-70mm is much more versatile, so for me personally that works much better. But everyone is different, so I can't really tell what would work better for you
The images that you show are the raws or already edited?
